SAT JUNE 3 - Dylan Farrell Band

Dylan Farrell is a born musician whose natural ability, combined with almost two decades of professional experience, has placed him at a level of artistic depth that most artists only aspire to. A singer-songwriter whose songs tell vivid, weighty stories with simplicity and concision, he is also a truly gifted guitarist who displays an emotional maturity, and a technical depth and dexterity, that is truly remarkable for someone his age.
Dylan began his professional career at age 15, playing in his father’s band in Saint John, New Brunswick. He moved to Edmonton in 2012, and instantly became a fixture in the city’s thriving roots and blues scene. Over the last decade, he has lent his consummate skill as a sideman to several acts, including…[maybe add a few artists in here], and has curated and hosted weekly blues jams at several venues. His own act, the Dylan Farrell Band, is a two-time winner of the Memphis Bound Blues Challenge and a semi-finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
Having solidified a sterling reputation as both a side-player and a front-man, Dylan is now placing primary focus on developing his own musical voice. His debut full-length record Mississippi Circle was produced by Brian Moncarz and recorded live off the floor at Ardent Studios in Memphis, which has been graced by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, and BB King. Mississippi Circle captures the soul of Memphis, using signature recording techniques that throw back to the city’s 1960s and -70s heyday. It is set for release in May 2023.
